Lampoon Pasang and Karen Tribe (VG-43)

Lampoon province is located some 35 kilometers a South of Chiangmai, there are many interesting old Temples and ruins in the old city. The city of Lampoon was the trading gateway for merchandise from Laos, Myanmar and all minority tribes in the area. Now – a - day Lampoon is one of the provinces of Thailand. Where people live peacefully for hundreds of years.

The tour will visit the famous Haripoonchai temple, as the main temple for all Buddhist events, this temple used to be the Royal Palace of King Haripoonchai of Lampoon. We continue to observe the way of living of Karen hill tribe, see their farming, handicrafts products from bamboo and rattan and a Blacksmith house which produces the agricultural equipment.

Visit the Pasang town to see hand weaving of Thai silk and cotton, also visit the batik factory. Return to Chiangmai in the afternoon. Lunch in Lampoon town.
