One Day Hill Tribe Exploration (VG-45)

The tour is done by 4 ‘ 4 light jeep. We will drive off road up to the dense jungle where we will visit hill tribe peoples such as Lisu, Black Lahu, Akha, Karen, Hmong and Parong tribes. To make this trip more adventurous you can include an elephant ride and some bamboo rafting (optional – check with your guide.)

We will start at 08:00. Drive up to a small and cozy town called Prao. On the way enjoy the nice view over uncountable mountains. Arrive at Prao, make a visit to a day market, see various kinds of vegetation and the jungle goods which are sold by local people. Drive further to visit the Black Lahu village. Proceed by jeep to a Red Lahu village hiding in the high mountains. The tour will stop at noon for picnic lunch on the way. In the afgernoon we will continue the program and visit a Karen village. At the village we will see the rice fields and see method of rice growing used by Karen farmers. Continue the trip to Lisu village, see the colorful women’s dresses and see how they weave their traditional clothes. Nearby the Lisu village there is a village of and Akha tribe, we will make another stop at this village for purchasing their lovely handmade patch work and silver bracelets.

We will make the last stop at the Parong village. This tribe is very rare in Thailand and this is the only plae to see them At the village there is a nice view of mountain cliffs too. Return to Chiangmai on the end of the day.
