Day 1 : Depart Chiangmai at 08:00, we will drive up North to visit the Elephant camp at Chiangdao. See the training of young elephants to work in the jungle. Afterwards proceed to the Hmong hill tribe village. Continue to Taton village and have lunch in a restaurant beside the Kok River. In the afternoon continue to visit the Chinese refugee village at Doi Maesalong. Make a stop at the Akha and Yao hill tribe villages. Drive down the mountain to Chiangrai. Transfer to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2 : After breakfast, leave the hotel for a trip to Mae Sai town. On the way make a stop at the Monkey cave. Arrive to Mae Sai, visit the Thai-Burmese open market. See the jade cutting factory and have free time for shopping in the market. Lunch will be served in a restaurant in town. In the afternoon drive up to the famous Golden Triangle to see the view and take some pictures.
Afterwards we will check into your hotel. In the evening we visit to the old temple on the hill for a bird’s eye view over the frontiers of Thailand, Laos and Burma. Later have dinner at a nice restaurant, then back to your hotel – the rest of the evening you can spend as you wish.
Day 3 : After we have had breakfast we will leave for a long tail boat ride down the stream to Chiangsean. Visit the national museum and some old temples. Continue to Chiangrai and make a stop at the monument of King Meng Rai, the king who built the city of Chiangrai. Then we will have lunch in a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon visit the hot water spring and see the farming style of local people, visit the village where they produce the looms. At the end of the day go back to Chiangmai, and transfer to the hotel.
