Golden Traingle Chiangrai Tour (VG-56)

Day 1 : Pick up from the hotel and drive up to Chiangrai, en-route stop at the hot water spring and Hmong village. Lunch in a restaurant in Chiangrai. In the afternoon proceed to visit some ruins and old temples. Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Jom Kitti in Chiangsean ancient capital. Proceed by Long tail boat over the Mae Khong River and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : After breakfast, we will depart the resort for a visit to the city of Maesai at the border between Thailand and Myanmar (Burma). Visit the local market on the border and the jade cutting factory from Burma. Lunch in a restaurant on the border. In the afternoon visit the Monkey cave. We will have a little hiking trip to the cave. Inside the cave there is a monestry for monks who use to stay here for their meditation. Continue to Chiangrai and check in to your hotel. Evening time have a Khak Toke dinner in the Lanna Thai style.

Day 3 : After breakfast, depart the resort for visit the Yao and Akha hill tribe villages. After that proceed to visit the Chinese village at Doi Mae salong. The village located in the top of the mountain where they produce Thailand’s No.1 tea and many vegetables. Lunch will be in a Chinese restaurant in the village in the afternoon visit the Lahu village and the Shan village where they produce the paper from mulberry leaves. Drive along the Mai Kok river to Thaton village to over night in the Mae Kok river lodge. Dinner at the resort.

Day 4 : After breakfast depart the resort for a visit to the big Buddha statue on the mountain with a perfect panoramic view over the Thaton valley. Continue to Chiangdao town for a visit to Chiangdao cave. Lunch in a restaurant on the way. Return to Chiangmai; visit the orchid farm en-route before arriaval at Chiangmai. Check in to the hotel in town.
